We're having a BABY!!
7/11/08-
I'm at the end of my 6th week now.
We found out the good news on July 1st. Since then it seems like it's been months, I can't believe only a week has passed.
Your whole world changes when you find out you're pregnant. My head is filled with so much baby information! How big, what is it doing now, what's happening to my body, who can I tell? It's very fun!
I'm also anxious for the next week to come so I can see how the baby is developing.
Sonogram will be July 25--excited for that!
But I have to drink 32 oz of water and not pee for an hour before the appt-eek!
7/29/08-9weeks
We had our first ultrasound last Friday.
It was reassuring to see there is really a baby in there! It was great to hear the heartbeat and have a photo.
I can't wait till we have our next sonogram to see how it's growing!
Feeling good, occasional queasiness but nothing bad.

I'm in my 11th week--can't wait till next week so we can shout it from the rooftops!
Feeling very good, I can't believe there is actually a baby in there.
I'm excited to get a belly and actually look preggers but I think it may be a while. I've been going to the gym to see my trainer once a week and ran last Sunday and felt good, so trying to keep fit and get the cardio in to prepare for all that pushing.
10/29/08-21 weeks
Started feeling kicks Friday 10/17. It started out with just a couple, only at night when I'd lie down to go to sleep. Now I feel them during the day at work, it's very fun. Ashton hasn't been able to feel them yet, he's dying to. Hopefully soon.
My belly is totally popping out, so it's nice now that people can actually tell I'm pregnant. Not that it makes anyone give up their seat on the bus by any means. People are cranky in the morning.
We have our next sonogram next Monday, can't wait to see how much he/she has grown and changed!
This is when you can see the anatomy and we don't want to, so I'm a bit nervous we'll see something accidentally. It's going to be tough knowing that the medical person knows and we don't!
Photos will be posted with new pics once we get them!
11/4/08-22 weeks
The sonogram was great-we saw the spine and ribs and all the bones in the arms, legs, fingers--really cool. He/she opened up it's hand for us so we could see all 5 fingers. Weight is 1.5 lbs. 65th percentile for weight. Seemed like the head may be big--oh boy, not good for delivery, but they said it wasn't really that big, it was average, so we'll see how things progress.
He's kicking me now as I type this, he must know I'm talking about him/her!
And after tonight, our country will be quite different with a new president bringing us into our new child's first year!
11/30/08-25 weeks
We had our first birthing class tonight-the Bradley method. So far we like it. Good preparation and met other couples who are birthing at the same hospital and using the midwives that we are.
The baby has been kicking alot, and I'm starting to feel more movements beyond just kicks, kind of like there is an eel in my belly. Quite an odd feeling!
We're off to the Dominican Republic next weekend, it will be nice to get away and be on a beach! It's very cold and rainy at the moment.
2/24/09-38 weeks
I totally lagged in writing on the site-oops!
I'm in the final stretch, just waiting for baby to arrive now! I seem to get insomnia about once a week so now I just get up and do stuff till I get tired instead of staring at the ceiling.
This is my last week at work, which is an odd feeling. I'm going to work at home after that till the baby arrives, whenever that may be-hopefully next week!?
I used the at home heartbeat thing tonight and we heard the heartbeat which was really fun. We'd tried it before and it didn't work but now that the baby is bigger and I knew where the head was, I was able to get it. I get to hear it every week at the doctor, but Ashton doesn't so it was a real treat for him, he was pretty psyched.
We've got the nursery all ready, bags packed...just need to install the carseat this weekend...nothing more to do really that get this kid out! Fingers crossed it's not too difficult!
